ISO 9001 Management Systems Review
Independent review of your quality management system, documentation, controls and supporting evidence.
ISO 9001:2026 · Quality Management Systems
What it is
A current review of your quality management system
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. The current edition is ISO 9001:2026, published by ISO on 16 September 2026, replacing ISO 9001:2015.
DAN AUDITS provides an independent review of the structure, documentation, controls and supporting evidence within your quality management system, whether you are preparing for certification, maintaining an existing system, or assessing what needs to change following the publication of ISO 9001:2026.
The approach
The review is built around evidence
The review looks beyond whether documents exist. It considers whether the documented arrangements are coherent, whether responsibilities and controls are clear, and whether the available evidence supports the way the system is described.
- Quality policy, objectives and the organisation's quality direction
- Scope, context and relevant interested-party requirements
- Process structure, interactions and operational controls
- Documented information and control of records
- Roles, responsibilities, competence and awareness
- Risk, opportunity and change-related controls
- Customer requirements, complaints and performance information
- Supplier and externally provided process controls
- Internal audit and management review arrangements
- Nonconformity, corrective action and continual improvement evidence
Current edition
ISO 9001:2026, transition and existing systems
For organisations already working to ISO 9001:2015, the 2026 edition provides a natural point to review the existing management system rather than treating the revision as a documentation exercise.
DAN AUDITS can review the existing system against the current edition and identify areas requiring attention, clarification or further evidence. Certified organisations should confirm their transition arrangements and timescales directly with their certification body.
Technical capability
Third-party certification-audit experience, not consultancy alone
DAN AUDITS reviews are carried out by a third-party auditor with certification-body audit experience, supported by Lead Auditor qualifications and training across ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 42001.
The difference is the perspective: independent assessment of documented arrangements, controls and objective evidence from a certification-audit standpoint.
What it is not
Independent review, not certification
- DAN AUDITS does not issue ISO 9001 certificates or act as a certification body.
- DAN AUDITS does not make certification decisions or guarantee a certification outcome.
- The review is independent and fixed-fee.
What we review
- System structure. Scope, process architecture, documented information and the relationship between the QMS and actual operations.
- Operational control. How processes are defined, controlled, monitored and supported by objective evidence.
- Risk and opportunity. How relevant risks, opportunities and changes are identified and addressed within the QMS.
- Performance evaluation. Objectives, monitoring, measurement, customer feedback, internal audit and management review.
- Improvement. Nonconformities, corrective action, lessons learned and evidence of continual improvement.

Why it matters
Why use an independent third-party audit perspective?
A management system can look complete on paper while still containing unclear responsibilities, weak links between processes, inconsistent controls or insufficient objective evidence. A third-party audit perspective tests the system differently: against what can be demonstrated, not simply what has been written.
FAQs
ISO 9001 review: common questions
What is an ISO 9001 Management Systems Review?
An independent, structured review of your quality management system, its documentation, controls and supporting evidence against the applicable ISO 9001 requirements. It is not certification.
Is ISO 9001:2026 now the current standard?
Yes. ISO published ISO 9001:2026 on 16 September 2026. It replaces ISO 9001:2015 as the current edition.
We are already certified to ISO 9001:2015. Can you review our system?
Yes. A review can identify areas requiring attention as you consider transition to ISO 9001:2026. Certified organisations should confirm formal transition arrangements with their certification body.
Do you issue ISO 9001 certificates?
No. DAN AUDITS is not a certification body and does not issue certificates or make certification decisions.
Do you implement the system for us?
No. The service is an independent review and analysis of the management system, documentation, controls and evidence.
